SECURING THE VEHICLE

  • This trailer is supplied with Lasso Straps. Below are written instructions for proper use.

    1. Position the Vehicle:

      1. Center the vehicle over the axles for balanced weight distribution.

      2. Engage the parking brake and place in park (or gear for manual transmissions).

    2. Prepare the Lasso Straps:

      1. Unwind and inspect the straps for wear or damage.

      2. Ensure the loop is free of twists.

    3. Wrap the Strap Around the Tire:

      1. Slide the loop over the tire between the 10 and 2 o'clock positions.

      2. Ensure the strap sits centered on the tread.

    4. Thread Through the Ratchet:

      1. Feed the loose end through the ratchet slot.

      2. Remove slack, but don't tighten yet.

    5. Anchor and Tighten:

      1. Secure the ratchet to the D-ring or trailer frame aligned with the tire.

      2. Tighten the ratchet until snug — avoid overtightening.

    6. Repeat for All Tires:

      1. Repeat for each tire using the same method.

      2. Check alignment and tension on each strap.

    7. Final Inspection:

      1. Ensure the vehicle is stable and cannot move.

      2. Shake slightly to verify security.

    8. Secure Loose Ends:

      1. Tie off or tuck away loose strap ends.

Stop periodically during transport to inspect and retighten as needed.
